Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Construction Project Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects. As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting of US subsidiaries, the preparation of financial statements and process improvement.
You will ensure the accuracy of standard costs, analyze variable and fixed overhead, support month-end closing, and prepare variance analysis reports. You'll also contribute to FP&A activities tied to gross margin, support engineering programs, and assist the Business Unit Manager on strategic initiatives.
This is not your standard coordinator position. You'll be wearing multiple hats-managing document control, acting as the Project Director's right hand (EA-style support), and ensuring the smooth flow of project operations from the Burlington head office, with regular site visits in Brantford.
