The Estimator will play a vital role in the estimating department within the construction industry, focusing on preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects. This position is based in the GTA, and requires an individual who excels in detail-oriented tasks and possesses strong analytical skills.

Description de poste

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop project budgets.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in project costs and timelines.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide regular updates on project costs and budgets to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all estimates.

Le candidat idéal

A successful Estimator should have:

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in multiple different estimating softwares and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have an understanding of the civil aspects of projects.
  • Experience on ICI ground up and renovation projects, specifically commercial and hospital projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
