The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in managing and leading all aspects of the estimating process for construction projects within the ICI Buildings construction industry. This position, based in Mississauga, requires expertise in Hard Bid, CM, and Design Build autonomous estimating to ensure project success.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including Hard Bid, CM, and Design Build projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive project pricing.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and requirements.
  • Lead quantity take-offs and pricing analysis for all project components.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize project costs and timelines.
  • Track and analyze market trends to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to support project planning and execution.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Estimator should have:

  • Proven experience in Hard Bid, CM, and Design Build autonomous estimating.
  • A strong background in the construction industry, particularly in the ICI Buildings sector, with a track record of overseeing project estimates for ground up new builds valued between $20M and $100M in scope.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
