This role focuses on strengthening Enterprise Architecture by adding deep technical expertise across applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure to improve visibility, governance, and decision-making.The architect works closely with technical teams to assess solutions, identify risks and modernization opportunities, and translate complex systems into structured insights, standards, and enterprise roadmaps.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Architecture Discovery & Current-State Assessment

  • Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, data teams, cybersecurity, developers, vendors, project teams, and business SMEs to understand current-state technology environments.
  • Document applications, interfaces, APIs, data flows, integrations, databases, infrastructure dependencies, hosting models, middleware, environments, and ownership models.
  • Translate fragmented operational and technical knowledge into structured architecture diagrams, models, repositories, and decision-support artifacts.
  • Identify architectural risks, technical debt, lifecycle issues, duplicate capabilities, integration pain points, and opportunities for standardization or modernization.
  • Maintain technical architecture views that connect applications, data, integrations, platforms, infrastructure, business capabilities, and operational dependencies.



2. Solution & Technology Assessment

  • Assess proposed solutions, system changes, application upgrades, vendor platforms, integrations, and technology introductions from an enterprise architecture perspective.
  • Evaluate impacts across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, supportability, scalability, and lifecycle management.
  • Support architecture governance forums by providing technical analysis, options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to architecture decision records, technical standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
  • Challenge solution designs constructively when they create unnecessary complexity, duplication, risk, or misalignment with enterprise direction.



3. Application Architecture & Portfolio Visibility

  • Maintain visibility of the enterprise application landscape, including application purpose, ownership, business capability alignment, integrations, lifecycle status, business criticality, technical fit, and risk profile.
  • Support application rationalization by identifying redundant, obsolete, underutilized, high-risk, or non-standard applications.
  • Analyze impacts of system replacements, upgrades, consolidations, integrations, and new application implementations.
  • Support roadmap planning for enterprise platforms, ERP-related systems, operational applications, and business-critical technologies.



4. Data & Integration Architecture

  • Document key data sources, system-of-record relationships, data movement, interfaces, APIs, middleware, file exchanges, ETL/ELT processes, and integration platforms.
  • Support data governance by improving visibility into data ownership, lineage, metadata, dependencies, and control points.
  • Identify manual handoffs, duplicate data entry, data synchronization risks, integration gaps, and opportunities for automation.
  • Contribute to future-state integration and information architecture patterns.



5. Technology Architecture & Platform Alignment

  • Maintain visibility of infrastructure platforms, hosting models, databases, cloud services, networks, identity services, middleware, environments, and core technology dependencies.



6. EA Tooling, Repository Enablement & AutomationRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution architecture, application architecture, integration architecture, infrastructure architecture, technical leadership, systems engineering, or enterprise technology roles.
  • Prior hands-on experience designing, supporting, integrating, assessing, or modernizing enterprise applications, platforms, APIs, infrastructure, or technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, databases, middleware, infrastructure concepts, hosting models, cloud platforms, security considerations, and technology dependencies.
  • Experience gathering information from technical and business SMEs and converting it into structured documentation, diagrams, architecture models, repositories, standards, or roadmaps.
  • Experience supporting solution assessments, technical evaluations, impact analysis, architecture reviews, or technology/vendor evaluations.
