This role supports application systems, data warehouse operations and business initiatives by troubleshooting issues, delivering project work and contributing to system design. The successful candidate will leverage Python, SSIS, SQL and reporting skills to help drive solutions, support testing activities and collaborate across teams to meet business and technical objectives.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with troubleshooting application system related issues.
  • Identify solutions to business system problems.
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; supporting project deliverables; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • Create and maintain requirements, issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
  • Diligently support and lead where needed, various activities between the teams to ensure the business and technical requirements and objectives are met.
  • Participate and contribute to the overall system(s) design.
  • Assist with the creation of test suites and support the team with various tasks and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Data Warehouse experience is mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience using Python.
  • 2 years working experience using SSIS ETL tool.
  • Proficient in querying Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • AI Framework and Libraries - good to have.
  • Cloud technologies exposure would be an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong documentation, PowerBI and reporting skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
  • JIRA experience - good to have.
  • On-Call rotation schedule required for this role.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL development and business systems support, with at least one year of Python experience and two years working with SSIS. They will be proficient in querying Oracle and SQL Server databases and possess strong reporting, documentation and PowerBI skills. Exposure to AI frameworks, libraries and cloud technologies will be advantageous. The ideal individual will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills and experience working within Agile environments. They will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, contributing to system design, supporting testing activities and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. A proactive team player with project-based experience, leadership potential and strong interpersonal skills will excel in this role.
