The Construction Site Superintendent - New Build will oversee all on-site operations for a ground-up addition / renovation institutional building project in the $15M range, ensuring quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines are met. This role based on site in Toronto requires a hands-on leader with expertise in GC/CM practices and a strong background in new build construction.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities for ground-up ICI projects in Toronto, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on-site.
  • Monitor construction progress, address any issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and consultants.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports, including daily logs and progress updates.
  • Ensure quality control measures are implemented and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Site Superintendent - New Build should have:
