About Our Client

Our client, a fast-growing and well-capitalized real estate platform, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in scaling its operations.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the platform, overseeing the full asset lifecycle-from development through to stabilized operations. This executive will drive operational excellence, scalability, and performance discipline across the organization.

Key ResponsabilitiesOperational Leadership:

  • Lead execution across all real estate activities within the platform
  • Align cross-functional teams and eliminate silos between development, construction, and operations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and execution rigor



Plateform and Systems

  • Assess and enhance existing processes, tools, and operating frameworks
  • Implement standardized project management, budgeting, and reporting practices
  • Develop real-time dashboards and KPIs to support informed decision-making



Financial Performance

  • Hold full P&L accountability across development and construction activities
  • Drive performance across timelines, cost control, and NOI optimization
  • Ensure disciplined execution and operational efficiency



Leadership and Organization

  • Lead and develop a senior leadership team, including Vice Presidents across:
    • Development
    • Construction & delivery
    • Residential operations
    • Asset management & revenue (evolving scope)
    • Marketing & lease-up
    • Technology, data & transformation
  • Clarify organizational structure, roles, and decision rights
  • Act as a key partner to the CEO in translating strategic vision into execution

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • 15-20 years of experience within integrated real estate platforms (development, construction, operations)
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-project portfolios
  • Experience with full P&L ownership across a real estate platform
  • Background in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments

  • Ability to create structure in fast-paced, evolving environments
