Description de poste

Working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams, this position will play a critical role in driving supplier performance, reducing operational risk, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the global supply chain.

  • Develop and execute the global supplier quality strategy, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards, customer requirements, and internal operational objectives across an international supplier base.
  • Lead supplier qualification, capability assessments, manufacturing readiness reviews, and supplier audits to ensure consistent quality performance and successful product launches.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives by identifying performance gaps, implementing improvement plans, and strengthening long-term supplier capabilities through structured engagement and coaching.
  • Partner with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to support sourcing decisions, technical reviews, new product introductions, engineering changes, and supplier selection activities.
  • Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics, quality dashboards, and executive reporting while leading root cause investigations, corrective actions, and supplier recovery plans for critical quality issues.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with automotive quality systems, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific standards, while promoting continuous improvement and process optimization across the supplier network.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Supplier Quality team (currently 4 people reporting) by fostering a culture of accountability, proactive risk management, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making.

Le candidat idéal

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, or Quality Engineering within an automotive or advanced manufacturing environment, including first leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in automotive quality systems and core tools, including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, AIAG standards, SPC, CQI, PFMEA, Control Plans, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting supplier audits, supplier development initiatives, manufacturing readiness assessments, and managing quality performance across a global supplier network.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, build strong supplier partnerships, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Analytical and results-oriented professional with experience using quality metrics, statistical analysis, continuous improvement methodologies, and modern digital tools to drive operational performance. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
