As a Construction Superintendent, you will oversee commercial renovation work within the commercial industry, coordinating site activities from start to finish. You will work closely with trades and project contacts to keep work aligned with project plans and site needs. The initial build will be a hotel renovation project in London, ON.

Our client is an established commercial GC/CM, based in Toronto, dedicated to serving clients across the commercial and hospitality sectors executing projects across Ontario. The immediate project need is a 200 plus unit hotel renovation in London, ON.

Description de poste

  • Coordinate daily site activities for commercial renovation projects to keep work moving according to the project schedule.
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site crews to complete assigned work safely and to the required standard.
  • Review drawings, specifications and site conditions to plan work sequences and identify practical construction needs.
  • Monitor site progress and communicate updates, issues and upcoming requirements with project contacts.
  • Coordinate deliveries, materials and equipment so trades have what they need to complete planned work.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly job site and address site issues as they arise during construction activities.
  • Track completed work, outstanding items and changes to support clear project coordination.
  • Work with the general contractor team to resolve site coordination matters and maintain project momentum.

Le candidat idéal

A successful 'Construction Superintendent - London' should have:

  • Experience as an ICI general contractor site superintendent.
  • Experience overseeing commercial renovation projects; hospitality experience is an asset.
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials and daily site activities.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications for site planning.
  • Practical knowledge of construction sequencing and site coordination.
  • Clear communication skills for working with project contacts and site teams.
