Sr. Director, Technology

Requirements:

- 10 years of IT management experience, including 5 years in senior leadership within the not-for-profit industry
- Degree in business, information technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in business analysis and technology procurement.
- Experience managing enterprise‑level or ERP systems.
- Demonstrated success implementing cross‑organizational technology solutions.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (Office 365, Dynamics) is an asset.
- Experience with website or digital content management systems is an asset.Responsibilities:

1. Strategy and Planning

- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of forward‑looking strategies for all technology initiatives in partnership with senior leadership.

- Translate organizational needs into scalable system solutions using modern tools and architectures that support adaptability and long‑term growth.

- Drive the evolution of the organization's technology ecosystem to support key operational and strategic priorities.

- Establish and oversee an IT governance or innovation committee to support execution of the technology roadmap, define policies, and ensure alignment with business goals.

- Champion cross‑functional collaboration to develop and deploy technology solutions that increase organizational efficiency and performance.

- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.2. Technical Project Management

- Develop and execute detailed project plans to implement new technologies, including change management and training.

- Oversee procurement processes including RFPs, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and budgeting.

- Monitor and optimize performance of external IT service providers.3. Risk Management and Compliance

- Protect organizational operations from IT risks such as breaches, system failures, and interruptions.

- Identify and mitigate emerging risks in alignment with enterprise risk protocols.

- Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to privacy, accessibility, and security.4. People Management

- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, aligning priorities with strategy.

- Lead team meetings with clear agendas and performance expectations.

- Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and talent development.

- Promote continuous learning and professional development.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
