We are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of a light industrial building addition construction project. Based in London, this role focuses on managing ICI GC/Design-Build projects, specifically light industrial new builds, while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage daily on-site construction activities for light industrial new build projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all staff on-site.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any construction-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Manage site inspections, ensuring compliance with local regulations and codes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and records of materials and labour.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Site Superintendent should have:

  • Strong experience managing ICI GC/Design-Build projects, particularly in light industrial new builds.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage on-site teams.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making on-site.
