Job Description

  • Oversee and lead all construction operations on-site for a dedicated new build project
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Ensure quality standards and construction safety codes are met
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Resolve any problems that may arise during construction
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and engineers

The Successful Applicant

A successful Site Superintendent should have:

  • A strong background in the education and school new build construction sector with over ten years of experience working in site supervisory roles for local market general contractors
  • Strong track record of delivering school new build projects valued between $20M and $40M in scope on time, and on budget
  • Expert knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety guidelines
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction management software
