Job Description

Oversee day-to-day operations and on-site activities for the construction project
Ensure all work meets required quality standards and specifications, maintaining rigorous QA/QC protocols
Coordinate and supervise site crews, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring performance aligns with project expectations; provide regular updates on progress
Maintain accurate records of daily manpower and site activity logs
Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, including adherence to project-specific safety plans and Ministry of Labour (MOL) requirements
Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage Division 1 costs and ensure alignment with project budget
Develop and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and issue look-ahead forecasts; communicate updates to the Project Manager and senior leadership as needed

The Successful Applicant

7-10+ years of hands-on experience in the Canadian construction industry, specifically as a Site Superintendent on full-cycle Industrial, Civil, and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) projects (local experience strongly preferred)
Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business; advanced degrees such as an MBA or M.Eng. are considered strong assets
Valid certifications including Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid, and Basics of Supervision
In-depth understanding of the planning and execution of large-scale multi-family and industrial developments
Proficient in interpreting comprehensive construction documents, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings
