Headquartered in Ottawa, they specialize in offering construction management services to multi-residential, institutional, commercial and retail clients.Job DescriptionSenior Site Superintendent - High-rise - OttawaReporting to the VP of Construction, the Senior Superintendent is responsible for all field operations required to construct the project high-rise project.Role Responsibilities: Help create, maintain, and execute project plan and schedule and ensure compliance with budgetSupervise and coordinate all construction activitiesWork with Senior Superintendents, Coordinators, Field Engineers, Surveyors, Students, hourly Foremen and hourly staff assigned to a projectCreate site-specific plans and procedures; adhere to safety and record-keeping requirements.Ensure project materials and workmanship meets project quality standards and design requirementsResolve and advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.Lead Sub-Trade meetings and update meetings for clear communicationMaintain the project's Daily Job Diary; maintain a 3-week look ahead scheduleTake on management of projects, become acquainted with the project cycle and build project management skills:Monitor project financial performances, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety of environment and quality controlBuild project schedule to align with the critical pathComplete material take-offs and get required estimates for procurementMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation.
