Are you eager for a new challenge in high-rise construction? Our client, a well-regarded construction firm in Ontario, is searching for a Senior Project Manager to lead significant high-rise projects in the Waterloo region.

Job Description

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-rise condominium projects from start to finish.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to align project objectives and address any challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Monitor project progress and performance and prepare regular updates for senior management.
  • Handle contract administration, including procurement and negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them throughout the project.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing construction projects, particularly in high-rise condominium developments.
  • Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Demonstrated success in handling large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects within budget and deadlines.
  • In-depth familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong Negotiation skills for dealing with various stakeholders.
