Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsAn opportunity to join a growing real estate developerAbility for internal mobility and career progressionAbout Our ClientOur client specializes in development, construction, and asset management, producing projects across the GTA.Job DescriptionManage the entire accounting cycle for multiple development projects.Perform monthly calculations, reconciliations, and record revenues, management fees, and interest for each project.Ensure timely month-end closing by recording all relevant transactions, including setting up accruals and accurately documenting journal entries.Prepare internal and external partner reports for each project, including supporting GL balancesPrepare monthly construction draws and collaborate with cost consultants.Work closely with operations and other teams to process monthly property financials, including invoice coding, purchase orders, project details, and variance analysis as required.Conduct ongoing analysis of project budgets based on pro forma data from joint venture partners.Perform regular reconciliations for bank and trust deposits.Set up project budgets, change orders, and estimates in the accounting system, ensuring proper control and maintenance.Prepare and process cash calls, and record and reconcile project distributions and contributions.Assist in preparing monthly compliance reports for lenders, government agencies, and partners.Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (IFRS and ASPE), as well as internal audit, client accounting services, and review standards.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation.
