About Our Client

Our client is an established design build and general contractor based in Toronto, dedicated to delivering commercial, institutional and light industrial building projects for clients across the GTA and South Western ON.

Due to current growth, the organization is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team in a long term permanent capacity and to be groomed into a leadership role.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage the tender process for multiple commercial / industrial / institutional renovation and new build project pursuits
  • Communicate with clients and sub-trades regarding all necessary information in the estimating and tender / proposal process for bids
  • Attend client meetings to take notes and participate in preliminary and conceptual estimating discussions
  • Assist the VP in closing all tender pursuits
  • All other duties as required

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 10 + years of experience working in a dedicated construction estimating capacity for an established local market ICI GC / CM / Design Build firm
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent software application skills and estimating software experience
  • Experience overseeing success estimates for commercial, institutional and industrial renovation and new build projects, valued between $500K and $25M in scope, strong conversion track record from tender submission to project award
