Job Description

  • Lead full-cycle estimating: pre-construction budgeting, quantity takeoffs, tender submissions
  • Mentor junior estimators and elevate team standards for accuracy and accountability
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and preferred subtrades
  • Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with execution strategy
  • Track market trends, pricing benchmarks, and subcontractor performance
  • Uphold quality, schedule, and cost control across all estimating deliverables

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior / Chief Estimator should have:

  • 10+ years of ICI estimating experience (Senior Estimator)
  • 12-20+ years with team leadership and strategic oversight (Chief Estimator)
  • Strong command of Ontario building codes, procurement practices, and cost structures
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and MS Office
  • Diploma in construction technology, civil engineering, or architectural studies
  • Experience with mid-sized GCs and projects ranging from $5M to $20M
  • Project types: schools, healthcare, municipal buildings, retail, industrial warehouses
