Job Description

Regional Manager: (Canada)Purpose: The Regional Manager is responsible for the overall success & operation of branches within the region. This includes training, pricing management, personnel development, and sustaining growth. The Regional Manager will also be responsible for promoting and fostering safety and efficiency in all employees and working safely at all times.

Essential Duties:

  • Sales production and meeting quota for all branches in the region.
  • Training and Development of all BM's in the region.
  • Coaching all employees on policies, sales training, safety, and ethics.
  • Monitor the business performance on a daily, weekly and period basis.

Identify and communicate potential problems or reasons for lack of adequate revenue growth with DVP and senior management.

o Implement solutions to identified problems.

  • Develop and implement sales contest and incentives to increase new business opportunities.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in hiring branch personnel.
  • Present a positive image of the client to fellow employees, external contacts, the general public.
  • Monitor performance of management within the region.
  • Responsible for the sales and service operations, including full P&L accountability of our multi-unit branch network throughout Canada.
  • Lead the implementation of the "customer first" initiative involving branch level process and cultural changes to improve our focus on customer service satisfaction and LOB revenue generation.
  • Implement territory optimization and service plans to improve upon route productivity and sales alignment with customer service schedules.
  • Lead and support branches in the development and implementation of creative sales strategies and operational improvements to better serve customers in the commercial and industrial business sectors.
  • Reduce operational expenses primarily through vendor management, labor optimization and transportation management.
  • Coach and mentor branch management, sales and service personal to ensure KPI's, revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Ensure MOE regulations and procedures are implemented and followed.

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong Sales and Sales analysis skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Division and Branch management as well as other members of branches and the corporate office.
  • Ability to motivate sales and service staff.
  • Ability to train all branch personnel to provide quality service and how to increase sales
  • Proven record in sales.

The Successful Applicant

Work Experience

  • Essential 5 years' of progressive sales leadership experience required in an Environmental Services business.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
