Job Description

  • Lead and manage a team and business unit of architects and architectural technologists
  • Lead and oversee architectural design processes to meet project requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and construction teams to ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative and sustainable architectural solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Engage in business development initiatives and contribute to commercial growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices into projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Principal Architect should have:

  • Must be a licensed architect with the OAA
  • A strong technical background in architecture (bachelor's or master's degree in architecture) with expertise in the property and construction industry.
  • 10+ years of proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and inspire teams effectively and to manage and lead architectural design projects.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to business development goals.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to sustainability and innovative architectural practices.
