Plant Controller - Manufacturing - Whitby

• The Plant Controller will be responsible for all financial planning and analysis and results reporting, and will provide recommendations to management to improve the Company's performance.
• Manage all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory/Cost Accounting, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Recognition
• Manage month-end closing and prepare/review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports
• Analyze manufacturing and profit and loss variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
• Work closely with engineering and operations to validate the accuracy of bill of materials, labor routings, and cost structure
• Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plant
• Provides proactive consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions
• Collaborates with Plant Manager and others to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis
