Junior Project Manager - High-rise Residential - OttawaPosition Summary

Our client is seeking a new Junior Project Manager with direct experience working on high-rise residential construction projects to support the successful planning and execution of their current projects, most notably a major multi-year multi-phase project that is currently under way.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Junior Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating trades, managing schedules and budgets, and supporting day-to-day project operations from pre-construction through close-out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing high-rise residential construction projects from site mobilisation to project completion
  • Support the development and tracking of project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and suppliers to ensure milestone achievement
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and contracts for completeness and compliance
  • Monitor site progress and assist with quality control and deficiency management
  • Support site meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Assist with permitting, inspections, and close-out documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records and reporting for management

The Successful Applicant

Junior Project Manager - High-rise Residential - OttawaRequired Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working on high-rise residential construction projects
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and site operations
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management platforms (e.g., Procore)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)





Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with developers or general contractors on projects 10+ storeys
  • Exposure to concrete forming, envelope systems, and interior finishes in residential towers
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and local municipal requirements
  • PMP or working toward professional certification (PMP, Gold Seal) considered an asset
