Job Description

  • Consult with clients and stakeholders to define project controls, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Draft and manage contracts for consultants, specialists, and contractors, including endorsements, amendments, and change orders.
  • Oversee consultant services, including drawings, specifications, supervision, and work acceptance.
  • Attend site meetings with professionals and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and supervise all site activities.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of project schedules and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Manage customer and subcontractor payment requests, review shop drawings and samples, and address technical questions related to plans and specifications.
  • Monitor and resolve "Conflict Detections" during BIM project execution and ensure effective handling of project deficiencies and amendments.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, specifically with a strong emphasis on high-rise condominium developments.
  • A minimum of 2 completed high-rise projects is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of efficiently managing multiple multi-million dollar projects.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with PMP certification or similar credentials being a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
