The Global Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all international accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance across all overseas offices. This role works closely with country Finance Managers and the UK Head of Finance to maintain financial integrity, support budgeting, and manage risk globally.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

  • Lead all international accounting activities and consolidate financial results from overseas offices.
  • Ensure accurate monthly and annual reporting, including management accounts, forecasts, and statutory submissions.
  • Maintain robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with Charity SORP, donor requirements, and financial regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting cycles, monthly variance reviews, and financial planning with each country office.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash‑flow forecasting and foreign exchange risk.
  • Indirectly supervise international finance teams and collaborate with Finance Managers and Internal Audit.
  • Improve financial systems, policies, workflows, and data integrity across all offices.
  • Support audits, tax filings, and financial enquiries, and travel internationally when required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Global Financial Controller should have:
