The EHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental protocols within the manufacturing industry. This role requires expertise in compliance, risk management, and fostering a safe workplace environment in Toronto.

Description de poste

  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on workplace safety and environmental standards.
  • Ensure all safety equipment and emergency protocols are in proper working order.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations and ensure company compliance.
  • Lead a team of 2 direct reports
  • Report directly into the CEO of the company

Le candidat idéal

  • University degree in relevant field and certificate in occupational health and safety
  • 10+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety in a manufacturing operations and/or supply chain environment,
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry is an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety and environmental policies.
  • Strong communication skills to conduct training and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Ce qui est offert

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $120000 to $140000 CAD.

  • Job Location: Scarborough (5 days in office)
