The Finance Director will oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the Accounting & Finance department for the business services industry. This temporary role, based in Vancouver, requires a proactive professional with a solid understanding of financial management and compliance.

This role uses AI-assisted tools to support initial screening. All assessments and decisions are made by a human reviewer.

Job Description

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and financial risks effectively.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management and reporting practices.
  • Experience in the business services industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
