We're working with a highly regarded mid-sized General Contractor in Vancouver seeking a Civil Project Manager to lead meaningful infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on PM who thrives on delivering results and enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish.

Job Description

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects in Vancouver.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to manage project expectations and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and present project reports, updates, and documentation to relevant parties.
  • Lead project teams and provide guidance to ensure effective collaboration and productivity.
  • Manage project financials, including invoicing and cost control.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager with a mid-size or large general contractor
  • Civil construction project management background is a must, with a strong focus on water/wastewater projects and some bridge experience
  • Proven experience running projects from initial planning through to completion
  • Comfortable managing projects under $50M - with breadth and variety, not just narrow scope
  • Exposure to Civil and ICI projects
  • Experience with construction management conversion or IPD (collaborative delivery) is an asset
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or a solid combination of education and experience)
  • Proven leadership skills to guide and inspire project teams with a hands-on approach
  • Strong communicator, collaborative, confident, and eager to keep growing as a PM (not seeking SPM track yet)
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites as required
