This role will be the primary assistant to the Site Superintendent with a scope of work including but not limited to structure, enclosure, garage and base building systems.This can also include planning and scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling activities and trades on the construction site.

About Our Client

Our client is an established ICI General Contractor and Construction management company that has decades of experience completing a variety of Institutional, Commercial, Industrial and Residential projects across Canada.

Job Description

    • Order concrete, reinforcing steel and other materials
    • Coordinate trade contractors involved in structure, enclosure, garage and base building systems.
    • Assist the Site Superintendent in executing the work on time and schedule
    • Assist the Site Superintendent in maintaining tight control of Division 1 costs
    • Review the site with the consultants and correct deficiencies noted on their inspection reports
    • Assist the Site Superintendent and safety consultant with the implementation of the project safety manual
    • Enforce the policies of the safety manual on the trade contractors
    • Other duties as required

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-10+ years of construction experience preferred as a Site Supervisor/Assistant Site Supervisor working on a variety of ICI and residential projects such as LTC, University/College Residences and Commercial/Institutional new builds
  • Predominent experience working on projects from excavation through to completion
