About Our Client

Our client is a reputable construction company specializing in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) projects.

Job Description

  1. Project Coordination: Handle all aspects of project coordination, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Supporting Project Manager: Work closely under the direction of a Project Manager, assisting in the management of project-related activities.
  3. Documentation: Manage and oversee shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFI), Change Orders, and other project-related documentation.
  4. Monthly Progress Payments: Administer monthly progress payments.
  5. Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects stay on track and are completed within deadlines.
  6. Construction Leadership: Utilize your experience to take charge of all project construction aspects, including coordination and on-site supervision.
  7. Coordination: Collaborate closely with the project superintendent on-site, coordinating all construction activities effectively.
  8. Trade Contractor Management: Coordinate with all trade contractors, overseeing their work, and ensuring quality and timeliness.
  9. Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts with trade contractors to secure the best terms and conditions for the company.
  10. Meeting Facilitation: Chair and take minutes of weekly project meetings, ensuring clear communication and progress tracking.
  11. Communication: Maintain effective communication with project consultants, owners, and stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong preference for candidates with ICI construction experience.
  • Proven ability to handle all aspects of project construction, from coordination to management.
  • Excellent project scheduling skills and a thorough understanding of project management tools and software.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with various trade contractors.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with project consultants and owners.
