Our client has partnered with Michael Page to recruit an internal recruiter to join their business on a 3 month contract. They are an IT focused business and are seeking a talent acquisition professional who has experience recruiting high-caliber IT candidates in Western Canada.

Job Description

Our client is seeking an in-house Talent Acquisition Specialist who will support their rapid growth by identifying, interviewing, qualifying and hiring the best information technology candidates available. Key job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Source, interview, assess, qualify and match candidates to the specific needs of the business
  • Maintain comprehensive records for candidates and jobs
  • Build strong relationships with elite-level, IT-specific candidates
  • Develop and execute a recruitment strategy that addresses the specific recruitment needs of the business
  • Perform candidate reference checks and background checks as required
  • Coordinate interviews between clients and the appropriate line managers

The Successful Applicant

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT recruitment (in-house or staffing agency)
  • Proven ability to source and network with candidates using a variety of traditional and non-traditional methods
  • Extensive knowledge relating to IT technical requirements
  • Proven ability to identify and secure top-level talent in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills
