About Our Client

The Retail Allocation Analyst will be reporting to the Demand Planning Manager. The primary duty of the Retail Allocation Analyst is to stock inventory in all channels as efficiently as possible by analyzing inventory risks and opportunities, and implementing inventory allocation strategies in accordance to the Demand Planning Manager's allocation plan.

Job Description

Planning & Allocation

  • Develop and execute stock allocation strategies for all stores in accordance with the Retail Demand Planning Manager's allocation plan, store and online attributes and objectives.
  • Scheduling deliveries, and overseeing shipping/receiving and warehousing of merchandise.
  • Maintain stock levels in all stores and ecommerce in accordance with seasonal set up needs sales trends and capacity in line with the Rolling forecast.
  • Weekly stock level review of all stores and ecommerce in order to optimize allocation strategies and establish safety measures to drive both allocation and store initiatives.

Regular Monitoring

  • Monitor sales, supervising physical inventory, identifying trends, and monitoring the timing and scope of seasonal changes - Working closely with the Retail Demand Planning Manager.
  • Monitor the performance of stock to ensure inventory levels, assortments and quantities are appropriate to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
  • Conduct regular Retail consolidation to minimize the broken size levels in stores.
  • Responsible for overall product distribution and coordinate the replenishment to outlet stores in order to effectively manage product life cycle.
  • Review stock levels periodically in order to react to any stock issues arising.
  • Be proactive in the identification of potential stock problems and manage them accordingly.
  • Liaise with the Retail, Sales and Online team regarding stock issues.
  • Monitor data to project potential forecast and sales opportunities in coordination with the Retail Demand Planning Manager.
  • Analyze inventory to identify potential exposure to obsolete and excess stock.
  • Work with store and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure pricing is current in ERP and Online channels.


  • Pro-actively communicate with stores, Retail Demand Planning Manager, and sales team to collect customer feedback on products and report to direct manager and related parties.
  • Communicate with the Retail and Marketing teams to gain/learn and transfer product information to the stores when required.
  • Report on KPI's and prepare documentation to present to senior management.

Process & Systems

  • Audit, develop, align and maintain allocation processes, systems and procedures for continued improvement.
  • Work with key suppliers to identify best practices and establish efficient supply chain processes that can be duplicated across all customers.
  • Align retail rolling forecast with the operations manager in order to efficiently maintain Canada business objectives.


The Successful Applicant

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations or other related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar field preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a changing environment.
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level.
