About Our Client

Our client is a reputable property owner/operator.

Job Description

  • General ledger accounting through verifying, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies;
  • Maintain resident information in Yardi;
  • Prepare monthly resident billing and rent increase notifications;
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close process;
  • Ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met;
  • Prepare audit schedules, analyses and provide support for financial audits;
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls;
  • Prepare ad-hoc schedules and analyses as assigned by Controller and Assistant Controller;
  • Record receipt of accounts receivable and deal with any collection issues;
  • Oversee Junior Accountant;
  • Oversee bank reconciliation process;
  • Document and identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies around processes;
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • University Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-entity Accounting role
  • Good understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with Yardi system is an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
