Job Description

  • Ensures successful delivery of project and owns outcomes that are aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives
  • Work with program oversight and other governance bodies, and engages the correct levels to support the direction for the project/program
  • Provides on-going communication to key stakeholders, including the Program Manager, Business Leads and Technology Partners to ensure they are aware of significant changes to the project status in a timely manner
  • Proactively identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e., risk related to technology, change management, procurement, business process management, requirements management)
  • Adheres to enterprise project gating and governance controls to ensure that projects meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards and conforms to appropriate methodology
  • Oversees the scope during the course of the project and collaboratively adjusts scope where necessary ensuring adherence to established project change management processes
  • Identifies all project dependencies and workstream inter-dependencies ensuring that they are effectively managed
  • Develops, monitors and tracks project plans throughout project lifecycle
  • Generates cost estimates and provides general financial management, incorporating risk
  • Manages resource and capacity management process for assigned projects
  • Supports vendor management and strategic sourcing process, managing RFP activities and partnering with vendor(s) to ensure efficient and effective project delivery where applicable.
  • Coaches, leads and mentors project team members and provides regular performance assessments to employees and their people managers
  • Applies business transformation and sustainability principles and practices in order to effectively manage the people side of change (e.g., stakeholder analysis, business process management, people readiness, sustainment planning, etc.)

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years experience with financial markets or similar
  • 7+ years experience as a Project Manager within Capital Markets or similar
  • PMP Designation (Preferred)
    • Uncleared OTC Derivatives Product experience/knowledge (Preferred)
    • Knowledge/experience in the Margin Rules or extensive experience on the G20 Regs (Dodd-Frank/EMIR/Margin for a Phase 1 Company) (Preferred)
  • Management experience working with executives, and preparing materials for steering committees
  • Above average communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
