About Our Client

Our client is a medium sized hi-rise condo developer.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial reports for various stakeholders and users for six project partnerships and multiple corporate entities.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and various financing mechanisms for monthly reporting.
  • Create and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company standards.
  • Process the full cycle of accounts payable including: posting payable entries, cheque issuance, responding to enquiries from vendors and vendor account reconciliation.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly progress billing invoices to ensure billing accuracy, fee reconciliation and ledger balance.
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are met, including Withholding Payments (CPP, EI), WSIB filings and GST/HST Filings.
  • Prepare and review monthly job cost and budget reporting
  • Liaise with external project monitors with monthly financing reports and schedules.
  • Prepare annual year-end financial reporting and provide all information for external auditors for financial statements and tax filings
  • Coordinate all accounting matters relating to CentreCourt's charitable initiatives
  • Support all internal teams with requested financial analysis or retrieval of information as required
  • Perform other duties as required

The Successful Applicant

  • Post-secondary education with a specialty in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Designation is an asset; CMA, CGA, CA or working towards a designation;
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Real Estate industry experience considered an asset.
  • Highly proficient in Simply Accounting, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with good typing speed (50+ wpm)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Self-starter attitude with an ability to work in a small office environment without constant guidance and direction;
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work outside of core hours when business needs dictate
  • Highest degree of integrity,honesty and commitment to professionalism
  • Enjoys a fast pace environment
