About Our Client

My client is a high performing REIT located Downtown Toronto.

Job Description

  • Lead in the coordination of controls and compliance efforts
  • Manage the month and year end closing processes
  • Prepare and maintain various financial statements and analytical reports that track business specific financial metrics
  • Support CFO's and business leaders via research and analysis of business performance
  • Prepare the consolidated monthly financial statements and help to ensure the company's internal control environment is designed appropriately
  • Participate in the annual budget and strategic planning process
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support overall finance function
  • Work with auditors regarding documentation and support for quarterly reporting and year-end audit
  • Assist with the development of improved balance sheet and cash forecasting models
  • Support the professional development of members of the Financial Reporting team
  • Complete special projects as required

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • CA designation preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using various finance/accounting systems
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Strong leadership ability
