Job Description


This role has direct or in-direct impact on the following financial measures:

  • Counterparty credit risk exposure
  • Economic and regulatory capital

  • Identify opportunities for, and lead the enhancement of statistically based methodologies for quantifying counter party credit risk across all trading products so that the accuracy and reliability of risk measures and consequent business decisions reliant upon these data are enhanced
  • Lead the analysis of market data for revisions to risk factors and/or market model parameters for counterparty credit risk applications
  • Consult with Market Risk Oversight to understand business objectives, translate business requirements into development tasks and ensure alignment of priorities between Counterparty Credit Risk Models and Risk Oversight so that overall Market Risk objectives and priorities are realized.
  • Lead the development of business requirements for model or system enhancements, including specification of user acceptance test requirements. Manage user acceptance testing, direct activities to ensure business and analytic requirements are correctly implemented
  • Mentor more junior members of Counterparty Credit Risk Models. Act as coach on deliverables and issues management; review work and provide and promote ongoing training and development of staff.

The Successful Applicant


  • Quantitative (mathematical and/or statistical);
  • Finance;
  • Economics;
  • Financial markets and products;
  • Broad understanding and experience with risk management methodologies and measurements systems, specific to counterparty credit risk


  • 4 years of related work experience, preferably in a financial institution;
  • Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities;
  • Ability to lead a team, coach, and develop subordinates;
  • Good relationship management skills,
  • MSc in a technical field, i.e., statistics, engineering, applied mathematics
