About Our Client

Our client is a mid sized construction company

Job Description

The Financial Controller will report directly into the Principals of the organization and be responsible for a large breadth of role. You will oversee a team of five, and be responsible for the following duties, inclusive but not limited to the following:

- Preparation of monthly combines financial statements (5 different entities)

- Revision of job cost reports on a monthly basis with project management teams and executive leadership

- Mentoring and continuous training of more junior staff

- Cash management and maintenance of daily cash flow

- Budget v. actuals reports on various projects

- Serve as the key point of contact with financial institutions and bonding company

- WIP reporting

- Strategic growth meetings with executive management

The Successful Applicant

In order to qualify for the position, candidates must possess the following skill set:

- CPA professional accounting designation

- Minimum 6 years experience in a Controller level role within the construction industry

- Strong and recent experience dealing with financial institutions

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing a team

- Strong communication skills and ability to work with executive leadership

- Job costing

- Experience in financial reporting for multiple entities
