About Our Client

Our client is a mid sized construction company specializing in high rise development.

Job Description

The Controller will report directly into the Executive leadership and operation divisions of the organization and be responsible for a large breadth of role inclusive but not limited to the following:

- Financial reporting on a monthly\quarterly\annual bonus

- Oversee the project accounting division and mentor\ train more junior staff

- Extensive job cost reporting (estimation to cost)

- Cash management

- Weekly\ monthly\ yearly budgeting and forecasting activities

- Use complex financial modeling to develop, implement and maintain capital budgets for multiple projects,

- Perform full cycle accounting and finance functions

- Recommend continuous process improvement strategies to operations

- Manage month end, quarter end, year end

- Manage relationships with external parties

The Successful Applicant

In order to qualify for the position candidates must possess the following skill set:

- Professional accounting designation (CPA or CA accepted)

- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry - high rise development candidates will be preferred

- Proven expertise in project accounting and working closely with operations

- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
