About Our Client

Our client is an asset management firm with over a billion dollars in assets.

Job Description

  • Prepare operating account reconciliations, variance analysis reports, and internal financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Prepare annual CAM and TAX reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare HST remittances
  • Review A/R and A/P for appropriateness, accuracy and authorization
  • Read and interpret leases
  • Other duties as required

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-7 years commercial and residential property accounting experience required
  • Excellent conceptual, mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
  • Strong understanding of operational statements, budgets, and variances
  • Sound information-gathering, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
  • Ability to develop and sustain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships as a team player
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work well under pressure, and manage tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel and Word skills an asset
  • Yardi Genesis experience an asset
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act as asset
