The Contract Operations Manager is also a liaison with all of the primary OBE departments. This role is responsible for ensuring OBE interests are properly expressed in the contract, OBE obligations are diligently executed, thereby fulfilling our commitments to the clients. The successful Contract Operations Manager will be able to demonstrate the following skills set; * Collaborate with Engineering Manager to align project schedules with department schedules, priorities and sequences; protect production lead time through engineering and approval process. * Lend experience to engineers to streamline process and structural solutions; with outside engineer resources to complete engineering tasks. * Plan, schedule, prioritize and assign projects to the Project Manager including charges and updates. * Attract develop and retain top talent; lead goals setting and performance feedback for the Project Managers. * Manage the client relationship including glazing contractors manufacturing teams, owner Project Management consultancy and consultants. * Collaborate with Sales, Estimating and the GM to review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to include OBE tender documents. * Assist and direct Project Managers with preparing and maintaining projects schedules monitoring and updating monthly job cost sheets, providing cost projections and creating billing of schedule values. * Ensure purchasing, sales and estimating practices align with the CRH Code of Conduct. * Overview vendor and purchasing selections with Purchasing and the Project Managers. * Participate in the annual forecasting. Prepare monthly billing information, follow upon collections and resolve outstanding issues. * Ensure OBE interests are properly expressed in the Contract. * Ensure OBE obligations are diligently executed, thereby fulfilling our commitments to the Client. * Assist the General Manager with yearly forecasting, budgeting and planning. * Work with outside engineering resources to complete the engineering tasks. Lend experience to Engineers to streamline structural solutions.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Contract Operations Manager will have; * Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Project Management, Building Science, Architecture or Engineering. * It is essential to have a minimum of at least 15 years of experience in managing engineering and construction projects and minimum 10 years specifically reference to the Building Façade, Curtain Wall Projects and Manufacturing. * 5 years managing a department and employees. * Knowledge in Facade, Curtain wall, Windows. * Experience in Product Management, strategic, technical marketing, market analytics required. Competencies required to execute the role; * Strong sense of responsibility, independent, willing to travel and work overtime when needed. * Excellent computer skills in AutoCAD, MS Office, Project. * Must be a self-starter. * Excellent communication and motivational skills. * Strong organizational and managerial skills
