Job Description

Reporting to the Director, IT International Governance & Supplier Management for Information Technology & Solutions, the Senior Contract & Governance Manager is accountable for driving and leading the activities required for managing global enterprise supplier governance and negotiations and oversight large enterprise agreements The Senior Manager will be able to manage contract execution processes including interfacing with the Business teams and the vendor in negotiating and executing key IT contracts ranging from a few million dollars to in excess of $50MM.

The Senior Manager will need to build and maintain a strong working relationship with Finance, Legal and various Business Units for validation of proposals and to ensure contract obligations are met in these areas. Interactions will occur with all levels of management up to Senior Vice President levels, numerous stakeholders and various organizations within IT&S. As such, the Senior Manager must be able to demonstrate solid skills in relationship building and general management. The Senior Manager must be a customer-oriented individual with a track record of demonstrating initiative, learning and applying new skills quickly and communicating effectively with a variety of IT stakeholders including presenting to executives, to achieve desired results.

  • Develop strategic partnership and agreement with a provider of IT services that provide value
  • Manage the supplier or partner relationship; master contract negotiation; supplier service level management; contractual compliance and supplier termination or renewal. These may be global/enterprise or country-based agreements.
  • Ensure business process interactions between the Bank and the service provider is effective and efficient.
  • Manage contract governance and the corresponding service level attainment for services received from a strategic IT partner.
  • Implement Governance framework and establish cost-effective and efficient management of the supplier relationship in various geographies.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of highly available and high quality computing services through the creation, monitoring and enforcement of Service Level Agreements and contractual performance objectives.
  • Ensure receives technology services contracted for in a timely, cost effective, quality manner.
  • Monitor and ensure the delivery of value add services provided by the supplier.
  • Oversee the supplier relationship in the context of compliance requirements.
  • Manage risk of the relationship with the vendor, conduct on-going due diligence to comply with regulatory requirements. Ensure alignment with the bank's Outsourcing and Other Arrangements Risk Management program and policies.
  • Work with IT Business and Strategic Sourcing to identify additional opportunities to benefit from sourced IT Supplier relationship.
  • Manage sourcing model for optimum service delivery, quality and cost.
  • Work with the Enterprise Technology Management Office and/or Strategic Sourcing to identify potential opportunities to improve service to the Bank by leveraging IT sourcing relationships.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of business controls, marketplace pricing and sourcing strategies.
  • Positively influence IT&S operations for proper considerations of business controls and standards.
  • Provide consultation to Executives relative to Supplier proposals, prospective deals or existing contracts.
  • Travel may be required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Spanish Fluency is mandatory
  • Must have at least 5 years of hands-on working experience with governance, vendor management & contract negotiations. Performing this task in IT category is desired.
  • Must have at least 3 years of hands-on working experience with financial analysis (quantitative/qualitative).
  • Must have 5 years of experience with Microsoft Licensing and Enterprise Service Level Agreements.
  • Must have advanced experience in the creation of PowerPoint presentations for stakeholders on the IT and business communities.
  • Must have strong influencing & interpersonal skills.
  • Able to take personal responsibility for evaluating and determining the best path forward when responding to a request from stakeholders.
  • Able to demonstrate respect for others by seeking to understand how one thinks about issues and perceives problems and opportunities.
