About the company
Stewart Group's acquisition of Ecotech laboratory has allowed this global company to continue to expand within North America. They are now seeking a Regional Manager to take the lead and the delivery of the Group's growth and development plans in the region and to take ownership of the current management team.

The Stewart Group's North American growth plans consist of geographical expansion, technical expansion into new areas of commodity testing, and in future acquisitions. The Geochemical and Assay business is the majority of the current business in Canada with intent to expand into Inspection and Analysis.

Job description
The RM will be responsible primarily for the leadership and management of the existing operation and to further develop new markets for GAD and IAD in the following manner.

Coal: Provision of exploration analysis, grade (production) control, and commercial party and umpire services to the export market.

IAD: Provision of commercial inspection and analysis services in North America.

Expansion: Secure new customers in order to provide commercial viability to expand the service offering into new territories in the Americas (North and South)

Outsourcing: Secure outsourcing contracts to mining companies, primarily as onsite services for existing and new mines and to exploration companies.

Acquisitions: In the midterm, The Group plans to acquire additional businesses where strategic geographical and / or technical competence provides significant benefit. The RM will be required to oversee the implementation of smooth integration of any acquired businesses in the Region.

What's on offer
A competitive package is on offer for the right candidate. It is envisaged that in the short term, the predominant focus of the RM will be centric to the Kamloops based business; however, we do not require the successful candidate to live (or relocate) to Kamloops given the wider remit of the role.
