Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement professional with pharmaceutical procurement experience from either a retailer or pharmaceutical organization to join their team. This individual will drive vendor negotiations, manage the revenue plans, and optimize margins. This is a high profile position as this role is critical to driving a revenue stream for the organization.

Job description
The Director of Procurement will:
• Manage plan process for prescriptions including sales volume, trending, performance metrics, etc.
• Develop, build and drive vendor relationships through strategic partnerships
• Work with regulatory boards as a subject matter expert
• Build and mentor a strong team to maintain and build internal and external relationships
• Optimize margins through price analysis and negotiations
• Provide market analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive market share and profit

Who we are looking for
In order to be successful in this role you must possess:
• Minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical experience with the majority within procurement
• Post Secondary education, B.SC or pharmacy preferred
• Knowledge of government regulations, processes and policies in relation to prescription drugs
• Management experience
